HOUSTON,TX (May 17, 2006) – Merrick Systems, a software innovator known for its upstream oil- and gas-production products, has promoted Clara Fuge – a ten-year veteran of the company – to Vice President of Operations.
Fuge, who previously served as Merrick’s former Director of Professional Services, is ideally suited to play a strong role in the company’s overall development and engagement efforts – bringing with her extensive experience in areas ranging from development and quality assurance to professional services and customer satisfaction.

Fuge will kick-off her new assignment by implementing systems to ensure that the company’s individual product plans are consistent with its overall vision, while also ensuring that Merrick consistently exceeds each and every client’s needs.
“This promotion means that I will now take a more active role in guiding Merrick as it meets its budget and efficiency goals, while still working closely with our clients,” says Fuge.
Prior to joining Merrick, Fuge spent six years with Energy Planning, Inc. as Information Products Manager and consultant. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from The University of Texas at Austin.
