Project Managers — Professional Services

Responsibilities:
- Projects may include:
- Project management of implementations of oil and gas field data capture and production software in client companies ranging from small to mid-size companies up to independents and majors
- Software development related to the project and existing software modules
- Coordinating upgrades of existing clients to newer versions of software
- Data migration and software integration projects
- Business process consulting as it relates to Merrick's areas of expertise
- Work with clients, establish project deliverables, success/failure criteria, specific tasks (installation, data migration, training etc), timelines, staffing needs
- Own and organize all documentation related to assigned projects, including generating regular status reports with appropriate metrics to be distributed to clients and Merrick, including time spent versus time budgeted
- Coordinate gathering of detailed software requirements gathering from clients
- Work with account management, development lead, product managers, quality assurance and documentation to coordinate timing as related to client driven software development
- Watch for development to stay on track with time, budget and functionally and report on slips

Participate in the organization of Merrick's User Group Meetings
Escalate client related issues to appropriate management levels
Work as part of an overall team which includes professional services, product managers and domain experts to build on Merrick's software training program
Assist in the transition of new clients to "maintenance support" at the end of implementation
Qualifications:
- 5-15 years of related experience
- Demonstrated very strong product and project management in software related experiences ranging from $200.000 to $2.000.000 projects
- Ability to assist with software design requirements and substantially add to design reviews.
- Familiar with field data capture and production accounting business a big plus
- Familiarity with onshore and offshore oilfield operations a plus.
- Mastering of project management software such as Microsoft Project
